What we do

Pipe in Pipe Replacement

The remediation revolution

E3 uses modern spoolable composite pipe to replace and repurpose ageing pipelines.  We pull the new pipe through existing steel line, eliminating the need to dig up and remediate corroded pipe or loop it with new construction.  This technique has been proven repeatedly onshore and offshore and has been approved by all regulatory bodies in the US and Canada. There are multiple products that are suitable for any service condition and we are unaffiliated with the manufacturers, so we can recommend the right product for any application.

The E3 Solution – Pipe within a pipe

Replace steel lines with modern hybrid materials

Modern spoolable composite pipes have pressure ratings as high as steel and are impervious to corrosion.

Use existing pipe as carrier for new pipe

By pulling the new pipe through existing pipe, no new construction or easements are required.

Operators back online faster and cheaper

Our techniques use proven technologies to get back online at a fraction of replacement cost.

✔ Expose existing pipe
Dig bell holes where the existing pipe can be exposed and prepped for new pipe.

✔ Blow a cable through
Using an air compressor and a pig, we blow a cable through the carrier that can be attached to the new pipe.

✔ Use wireline to pull new pipe
Our wireline rigs allow us to pull ~2 miles of pipe at a time through the carrier.

Pig Tethering

un-piggable lines

Our pulling units are used to tether cleaning pigs and smart tools for lines that are otherwise un-piggable, giving operators the ability to clean and inspect lines for compliance and integrity.

Enhanced Data Quality

In line inspection tools produce the highest quality data when run at consistent speed in a narrow range. Piggable lines may not have enough flow to be in the sweet spot of the tool. Tools run in gas service often surge during the run resulting in poor ILI data. Tether provides the most accurate data possible from any smart inspection tool.

Composite Pipe services

Fitting installation

E3 technicians are certified by all major manufacturers to install fittings for any composite pipe project, whether pipe in pipe rehab or new lay construction. E3 is the authority in composite pipe and we can support any project.
